A Good Deed

I had never been an animal lover until Miss Lady arrived as a Christmas  present from my son two years ago.If anyone had told me months before that I would love a little puppy as I did Lady that Christmas,,I would have said : no way! She was the most cutest little puppy I 'd ever seen, she was bouncing all over the place, getting her teeth into everything she could. It was a unique experience yet I was not prepared. We went from trying to potty train  her and  teach  her the house rules. Oh ,,she wasn't going to be molded our way. It seemed she had other ideas of her own,,,we were the ones to be molded to her. As most pups, they tend to bite almost anything or anybody, mine was not the exception . I loved this little bundle of white hair so much that I would practically cry every time I 'd carry her because it meant I would get bitten.Time did pass and she grew,,so did our bonding,we became best friends. Two years went fast and after trying to settle with a playmate for Lady,,another female dog, none seem to" be the" one or the permanent one. I finally gave up ,and decided to stay with only one pet. Some days later I heard of a sad story that changed my mind. A client of a relative of mine was very ill,,at her will,,she was leaving her pet dog of eight years to my relative .There was only one big problem !!  my relative didn't want or liked dogs. The day this old lady was dying,we receive the call to pick up the dog. When I saw this beautiful eight year old dog, my heart went out to her. Here was a dog nobody would or could keep, and her owner was dying,I said to myself; be her owner, love her, take her in,do a good deed to a dying old woman and her eight year old friend.I came home with her,she accepted our home as her own and me as if we had been together always.I realize in the animal kingdom God also gives them a helping hand sometimes.
