As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, Saul, Saul , why do you persecute me? " Who are you, Lord ! " Saul asked. Acts 9:3-4 ...Saul was about as opposed to Christ and Christianity as one could get. He was present at Stephen's stoning, giving approval to his death. He was the one who was" breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples " Then .... Christ appeared to Saul. Talk about a flashy conversion experience, with Christ speaking from heaven ! I can't imagine what that must have been like , an out of this world experience ! I've had no dazzling experience to relate, but over the years I've come to realize the true value of my quiet times in prayer with God . He makes himself known or heard to those that are open to his voice. Revelation 3:20 " Here I am, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come-in and eat-with-him , and he with me. May God bless you this very day !
